1 Cup Butter – Soft
1/3 Cup Whipping Cream
2 Cups Flour
¼ Cup Butter
¾ Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Egg Yolk
1 Tsp. Vanilla

1. Mix the butter, flour and whipping cream together. Chill for 1 hour.

2. Roll dough to 1/8” and cut into 1 ½” rounds. Transfer to wax paper sprinkled with sugar. Coat both sides of cookies.

3. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Prick in 4 places with fork.

4. Bake at 375 degrees F for 7-9 minutes or until slightly puffy. Let cool.

5. For the filling, mix the butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk and vanilla until smooth. Tint with food coloring if desired.

6. Put 2 cookies together with filling.
