Apple Crisp (80)

Butter – for the backing dish
4 Cups Tart Apples – Peeled and Sliced (7-8 medium)
1 Cup Brown Sugar – Light
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
½ Tsp. Nutmeg
1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp. Orange Juice
¾ Cup Flour
4 Tbsp. Butter

1. Pre-heat the oven to 375 F.

2. Butter a 1-quart dish or 9” Pyrex dish. Arrange slices of apple in the dish. Mix half of the brown sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg and sprinkle over the apples. Add juices and zest.

3. To make crumb topping, mix the remaining sugar with the flour and a dash of salt and rub or cut in the butter. Sprinkle over the apple slices and bake 35-40 minutes or until apples are tender and the top browned. Serve warm with cold heavy cream.
